Two more soldiers embrace martyrdom fighting terrorists

In an exchange of intense firing, one terrorist was "sent to hell" in North Wazirstan, says ISPR.

RAWALPINDI: In yet another engagement with terrorists, two more soldiers of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom in the North Wazirstan district of Khyber Pakthunkhwa on Sunday night.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations, the media wing of the military, identified the fallen soldiers as Sepoy Abdullah, 25, and Sepoy Muhammad Sohail, 19. It said the army effectively engaged the terrorists and sent one of them to hell.

“Sanitisation of the surrounding areas is being carried out to neutralise any terrorists found in the area. Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR said.

Attacks on security forces have increased in the provinces of KP and Balochistan in the recent years.  An army officer and three soldiers embraced martyrdom in the Tirah area of KP’s Khyber district recently while terrorists attacked Pakistan Air Force base in Mianwali on Nov 4.

On Nov 3, as many as 17 security personnel were killed in an ambush, bomb blasts and during an operation in Gwadar, Dera Ismail Khan and Lakki Marwat.
