SHANGLA: Two police officials embraced martyrdom when terrorists attacked a checkpost in Shangla, Khyber Pakthunkhwa, the police said on Tuesday.
The incident occured in the checpost of the police in Chakesar area of Shangla.
As a result of the attack, one assistant sub-inspector identified as Hassan Khan and constable Nisar Khan were martyred while three other policemen were injured. The injured were later shifted to a hospital in Battgram.
Terror attacks on security forces and police have increased in the province of Khyber Pakthunkhwa during the last a few years. The KP police have lost a large number of its personnel in terror attacks.
