BHAKKAR: A suicide attack at the Dajal interprovincial checkpost in Punjab’s Bhakkar district left two policemen dead and one injured late last night officials confirmed.
According to police sources, the attacker targeted the security checkpoint late Tuesday night, resulting in the martyrdom of Constables Faheem Abbas and Shahbaz Madni. Constable Arshad sustained injuries and is receiving medical treatment.
Inspector General of Punjab Police Abdul Karim paid tribute to the fallen officers, praising their sacrifice in the line of duty. He expressed condolences to the bereaved families and directed authorities to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured officer.
The IG stated that the Punjab Police stands firmly against militant threats and reaffirmed that the force would continue its mission to safeguard the country.
He also assured that the families of the martyrs would not be left alone and that their welfare remains a top priority.
