Three students among seven injured in bomb blast near school

Explosion occurred near a private school and bank in Warsak Road, according to police.

PESHAWAR: Seven persons, including three students, were injured in a bomb blast near a private school and a bank located in Warsak Road in Peshawar this morning.

Police said that the injured students were shifted to hospital where their condition was stated to be stable. 

The bomb was planted along the roadside near the two buildings. Police and other law enforcement agencies arrived the area and cordoned it off. 

The students and staff of the school were evacuated from the premises. The staff at the private bank remained unhurt, said the police.

Bomb disposal squad also reached the area and carried out a search to ensure there was no other explosives.
