According to the UAE’s official news agency WAM, no injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident. ADNOC said the situation had been brought under control and was now being monitored.

The company said the safety and well-being of its crew, particularly maritime workers, remained its top priority. It also stressed the importance of maintaining safe navigation and freedom of movement through the Strait of Hormuz.

ADNOC urged the public to rely only on official and verified sources for information about the incident and avoid spreading unconfirmed reports, rumours or speculation.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most important maritime routes, connecting the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. It is a crucial corridor for the global transportation of oil and other energy supplies.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions in the region, raising further concerns over maritime security and the uninterrupted movement of energy shipments through the strategic waterway.
