STOCKHOLM: Two friends from Karachi have died of drowning in a lake in Stockholm, Sweden, according to media reports.
Arif Zaidi abd Salman Nasim along with other friends had gone to a lake on a barbecue party on June 1. The two friends went unto the lake for swimming and disappeared.
Later, the other friends informed police who reached the lake along with rescuers and recovered the dead bodies of the two friends.
Khaliq Zaidi, brother of one of the deceased, told media that police in Stockholm were investigating the death of his brother and the other youth. After completion of the probe, the bodies would be dispatched to Pakistan, he added.
He said it was still unclear how the two friends drowned in the lake located in the city of Stockholm.
