ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has unveiled the national U-23 squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Saudi Arabia.
The matches will be held in Cambodia, and the team will be captained by former international star and head coach Norberto Solano.
The 23-member squad features goalkeeper Adam Najeeb, alongside outfield players Hasan Ali, Umair Urooj, Mikael Abdullah, Umair Bahadur, Furqan Umar, Ali Raza, Suleman Ali, Adil Yunus, Tufail Khan, Hayan Khattak, Muhammad Junaid, Ali Zafar, Adnan Justin, Haseeb Khan, Mohibullah, Muhammad Adil, Anas Amin, Muhammad Haroon, Hamza Muneer, Ahmed Salman, Junaid Shah, and Abdur Rahman.
Under Solano’s guidance, the U-23 team has been undergoing intensive training, focusing on fitness, tactical awareness, and team cohesion. The squad blends experienced campaigners with emerging talents, aiming to present a competitive and balanced side for the qualifiers.
Pakistan will look to make a strong impression on the international stage, with hopes of advancing through the qualifiers and taking a significant step toward the 2026 World Cup.
