RIYADH: A fire erupted following an explosion at the U.S. Embassy in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, according to international media reports.
According to reports from British news agencies, the cause of the explosion and the subsequent fire was stated to be drone attacks by Iran.
Saudi Arabia’s defense ministry said in a statement that the embassy was attacked by two drones, according to initial estimates, and that it resulted in a small fire and some minor damage to the building.
