LONDON: Pakistan’s High Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Faisal has expressed concern over the recent protests by Indian nationals outside the Pakistan High Commission in London, urging the British government to ensure the mission’s security.

In a statement, Dr. Faisal praised the Pakistani community for its responsible and peaceful conduct during the protest. He stated that there is concrete evidence of India’s involvement in disruptive activities in various countries, and warned that if Pakistan is targeted, it will respond appropriately.

The High Commissioner expressed the hope that the UK government would take all necessary steps to secure the Pakistani High Commission and prevent such incidents in the future.

Meanwhile, British Foreign Office official Hamish Falconer, speaking in Parliament, appealed to both Pakistani and Indian communities in the UK to remain calm amid rising tensions between the two countries. He reaffirmed the UK’s longstanding position that the Kashmir dispute should be resolved by India and Pakistan in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiri people.

It is worth noting that last Friday, a violent protest took place outside the Pakistani High Commission in London, involving members of the British Indian community. Protesters raised anti-Pakistan and anti-Muslim slogans, drawing strong condemnation from Pakistani officials.
