UK reaffirms support for Pakistan’s climate resilience

ISLAMABAD: A senior official from the British High Commission Islamabad Jo Moir on Tuesday reaffirmed her country’s commitment to supporting Pakistan in its struggle toward climate resilience and sustainable development.

During her meeting with Caretaker Minister for Planning Muhammad Sami Saeed, Director Development Jo Moir appreciated steps taken by the Planning Ministry and assured the minister of full support in the future. 

The two sides discussed the existing portfolio for Pakistan and expressed their resolve to further enhance it in the future.

The caretaker minister appreciated BHC for its decades-long assistance, which has been playing a vital role in the socioeconomic uplift of Pakistan.

He said a National Climate Finance Strategy has been prepared to identify sectoral priorities and scaling climate finance.
