UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan has once again reiterated its stance in favor of peaceful resolution of global conflicts, urging Russia and Ukraine to immediately end the ongoing war through dialogue and diplomacy.

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar Ahmed, emphasized during an important UN session that Pakistan prefers negotiation over any military intervention, noting that the war is causing devastating consequences not only for the region but for the entire world.

He stated that Pakistan firmly supports resolving disputes through diplomatic engagement, expressing deep concerns over the human suffering and destruction caused by the conflict.

Asim Iftikhar called for ensuring the protection of civilians and critical infrastructure in accordance with international law. He stressed that there is no military solution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict and urged both sides to de-escalate and resume constructive dialogue. Pakistan, he added, fully supports all international mediation efforts.

This statement came as U.S. media reported that President Donald Trump has approved a secret 28-point roadmap aimed at ending the war. The peace plan is reportedly led by U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, with American sources indicating that the plan has been developed in consultation with Russia.
