UN Secretary-General Urges U.S. and Israel to End War with Iran

NEW YORK: United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has called on the United States and Israel to end the ongoing war with Iran.

Guterres emphasized that the time has come to halt the conflict. He also urged Iran to cease attacks on neighboring countries and to immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which has been closed amid rising tensions.

Meanwhile, the European Union announced its support for diplomatic efforts to end the war. EU officials stated that the conflict has not yet caused a significant increase in migration to Europe, but they will continue to use diplomatic, legal, and financial measures to protect European security.

They also stressed the importance of remaining prepared for potential migration crises.

This statement comes as regional tensions remain high, with ongoing military confrontations and diplomatic challenges affecting global security and trade.
