NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Unknown people have opened fire on former MNA and PTM leader Mohsin Dawar in North Wazirstan.
Police said the armed men escaped after firing on the vehicle of Dawar. As the car was bulletproof, Dawar remained safe.
A senior police officer said that police security was deployed with the PTM leader. The policemen retaliated the fire on which the attackers escaped.
He said police have launched an investigation into the incident and efforts were underway to trace and arrest them.
It may be mentioned here that a few days ago, a convoy of JUI chief Molana Fazlur Rehman was also attacked in his hometown of DI Khan.
The JUI criticized the security agencies and said law and order situation in Khyber Pakthunkhwa and Balochistan was deteriorating.
