WASHINGTON: U.S. Secretary of State Mark Rubio has announced the cancellation of all U.S. visas held by passport holders from South Sudan.

According to US media, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that if the Trump administration wanted to deport any foreign national, the respective country must ensure the timely repatriation of its citizens.

Rubio stated that the transitional government of South Sudan had failed to respect this principle, and, therefore, the State Department was canceling all U.S. visas issued to South Sudanese passport holders.
