ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his desire to work with the U.S. administration to further strengthen bilateral relations.
He was speaking to a delegation from the US led by Eric Mayer at the Prime Minister House on Wednesday.
The American delegation is visiting Pakistan to participate in the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum.
Prime Minister Sharif stated that Pakistan’s mineral sector had vast potential, and American companies should take advantage of investment opportunities in this priority sector.
He expressed his desire to work with the US administration to strengthen bilateral relations and emphasized the importance of increasing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade and investment.
The US delegation congratulated Pakistan on the successful hosting of the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum and acknowledged the vast potential of Pakistan’s mineral sector.
Eric Mayer informed the Prime Minister about the interest of American companies in investing and expressed the desire to work on matters of mutual interest, adding that the U.S. is eager to further enhance bilateral relations with Pakistan.
