MOSCOW: Russia has strongly condemned the recent U.S. threats of military action against Iran, calling them “absolutely unacceptable.”
The statement was issued by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which stressed that the U.S. should not use instability in Iran as a pretext for launching any further attacks.
The Russian Ministry emphasized that any such military intervention would lead to disastrous consequences for the Middle East and pose a significant threat to global security. It further stated that such aggressive actions would only exacerbate tensions in an already volatile region.
In the statement, Russia also rejected attempts to pressure Iran’s foreign partners through trade tariffs and economic coercion, describing them as a form of “blackmail.” The Russian government made it clear that these actions would not be tolerated.
