MUZAFFARABAD: The Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has announced the schedule for the preparation and revision of electoral rolls ahead of the upcoming elections.
According to the official timetable, the final voter lists will be published on April 30, 2026. The process for new voter registrations in the draft electoral rolls began on March 24 and will continue until April 7.
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will provide the initial electoral data by April 10, after which preliminary voter lists will be made available for public inspection on April 13.
Citizens will have the opportunity to submit applications for registration, corrections, and objections from April 13 to April 17. Hearings on these applications will take place between April 17 and April 20, and decisions will be communicated to registration officers by April 21.
Following all necessary amendments, the final electoral rolls will be issued on April 30.
The Secretary of the Election Commission stated that the voter lists will be thoroughly updated to ensure transparency and fairness in the electoral process.
