NEW YORK: Minister of State for Crypto and Blockchain Bilal Bin Saqib, while addressing the General Assembly, emphasized the importance of preparing for artificial intelligence (AI).

He stated that AI is no longer a luxury for emerging economies; for developing economies, it has become a matter of survival. Bilal Bin Saqib highlighted that Pakistan is the world’s fourth-largest freelancing market, with a population of 250 million and an average age of 23 years.

The Minister warned that freelancing markets could soon be overtaken by AI tools, stressing the need for Pakistan to move forward in the right direction with appropriate measures. He added that advancing in AI requires proper infrastructure and computing power.

Bilal Bin Saqib further remarked that history teaches us a valuable lesson: in the past, electricity only benefited those who were prepared for it.
