NEW YORK: The Consulate General of Pakistan in New York in collaboration with All About the USA Inc., held a free online legal webinar on matters related to real estate and inheritance matters.
The webinar titled “Real Estate and Inheritance in Pakistan: A Legal Guide for Overseas Pakistanis” aimed to equip members of the Pakistani diaspora in the United States and other countries with practical knowledge about navigating legal issues related to real estate transactions and inheritance procedures in Pakistan.
The event attracted widespread participation, reflecting the high level of interest and concern among overseas Pakistanis regarding property and legal matters back home.
Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai underscored the Pakistani government’s commitment to addressing the legal and administrative challenges faced by its citizens abroad. He noted the significant contributions of overseas Pakistanis to the country’s development and reiterated the consulate’s role in providing support and resources.
Legal experts from Pakistan shared detailed insights on key issues such as property transfer laws, inheritance rights under Pakistani law, dispute resolution mechanisms, and the importance of accurate legal documentation. The session concluded with a live Q&A segment, where participants engaged directly with the panel to discuss specific cases and legal concerns.
