Seek clarification from Israeli media, not Imran: Saif

Imran Khan's stance on Israel has always been very clear, says KP govt's spokesman.

PESHAWAR: Advisor to the KP government Mohammed Ali Saif has said that Imran Khan was not bound to give a clarification over an article published in an Israeli newspaper praising the former Prime Minister and PTI founder.

In a statement, he said that if the government wanted a clarification over the newspaper article, it should approach the Israeli government or the management of the newspaper. Why should Imran Khan give an explanation about an article published in a foreign newspaper.

A few days ago, the Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post in its report stated that Imran Khan was supportive of the Israeli government abd despite issuing statements he was in favour of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Israel.

After the publication of the news, government functionaries especially PML-N leaders started branding Imran Khan as a supporter and agent of Israel. They also asked the jailed leader of the PTI to give clarification why the Israeli newspaper is praising him.

In reaction to the statements of the government abd the ruling party leaders, the advisor of the KP government today said that the basic purpose of issuing such statements was to divert attention from the successful public gathering that PTI held in Lahore today.

He said that the government in Islamabad has assigned duties to its ministers and PML-N leaders including information minister Ata Tarar to create misunderstanding among the public about the PTI founder and formal Prime Minister Imran Khan and dub him as an Israeli sympathizer.
