QUETTA: A woman lawyer locked and closed a civil court in Quetta after an altercation with a judge.
Lawyers in the district judiciary said that the woman lawyer locked the court after exchanging harsh words with a judge during the hearing of a case. The lawyer was representing the plaintiff in the civil case.
Quetta Bar Association president Qari Rahmatullah confirmed the incident and said the issue between the judge and the lawyer has been resolved.
The bar president said that both the judge and the lawyer agreed not to pursue any case over the incident.
In recent years, harsh arguments between lawyers and judges have been reported across the country. In one such case, lawyers locked up a judge in Punjab.
