MARDAN: Women University Mardan has announced a significant reduction in tuition fees for various undergraduate programs in an effort to ease the financial burden on students.
According to the university administration, the fees for six BS programs have been reduced by up to 40 percent.
In an official statement, the administration said that the decision was made in view of the economic challenges faced by students and their families. The aim is to enable more young women to benefit from higher education opportunities.
The fee reduction applies to BS programs in Urdu, Islamic Studies, and Education, as well as Botany, Microbiology, and Biochemistry. As per the new fee structure, the semester fee for some programs has been reduced from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 28,000, while in others it has been cut from Rs. 44,000 to Rs. 31,000.
The university administration stated that the initiative is part of a broader commitment to make quality education more affordable. Dozens of students are expected to benefit from this move, helping them to continue their academic journey without financial stress.
