Women Who Threw Eggs at Alima Khan Belong to PTI: Police

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi police stated that the women who threw eggs at former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister Alima Khan belong to the same political party.

The incident occurred while Alima Khan was speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail. During her interview, two eggs were thrown at her, one of which hit her. This led to a commotion among party workers, after which police took two women into custody and brought them to the Adiala police station.

According to a Rawalpindi police spokesperson, the women involved were associated with PTI. The spokesperson added that employees from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s All Government Employees Grand Alliance (APGA) had come to protest, and the egg-throwing happened after Alima Khan did not respond to their questions.

The spokesperson confirmed that the women involved have been taken into police custody.
