World urged to stop India’s state terrorism in Kashmir

Mushaal Hussain Mallick says fascist Modi-led Indian govt has turned occupied Kashmir into a killing field.

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mushaal Hussain Mallick warned the international community to act against the fascist Modi-led Indian government that has turned illegally occupied Kashmir into a killing field with impunity.

She said that the Modi regime has unleashed a wave of state terrorism in the occupied area and muzzled dissenting voices by picking political activists and rights defenders and keeping them in notorious jails without trials.

Ms Mallick was speaking at a seminar on human rights situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) which was held in Oslo.

She warned that the unresolved Kashmir dispute will remain a threat to regional peace, adding steps should be taken to find out a durable and lasting solution to the Kashmir dispute by ensuring the right of self-determination to the people of the region.

She also appealed to the world to protect the life of her incarcerated husband Yasin Malik, who is facing real threats in notorious Tihar jail for not budging an inch from his principled stance on the Kashmiris right to self-determination.

She said that rampant human rights violations committed by the occupying Indian forces in Kashmir continued unabated as the world had failed to take notice of the issues.
