The ceremony was organised jointly by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Capital Development Authority. The event featured a musical programme and a projection-mapping show highlighting the monument and the events it commemorates.

Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Ashfaq Ahmed Khail said the monument represented a national achievement based on courage, bravery and unwavering determination. He described its opening as a moment of pride for the nation and future generations.

A projection-mapping presentation showcased the story of the monument’s construction, highlighting the teams involved and the process from the beginning of construction to its completion.

According to a documentary presented at the ceremony, the monument features five arches symbolising the five pillars of Islam. The arches also represent five pillars described as important to Pakistan: government, military strength, media, the public and the national ideology.

The monument’s design incorporates elements representing Pakistan’s three armed services—the Army, Air Force and Navy—as well as cyber defence and space warfare.

The monument also features an advanced projection-mapping system that combines light, music and architecture to create a visual presentation for visitors.
