NEW YORK: Young Pakistani squash player Harmas Raja has won laurels for his victory in the Boys’ Under-11 category in the US Junior Open Squash Championship 2024.
Pakistani community praised the young player for his outstanding performance in the championship.
Raja met Aamir Ahmed Atozai, the consul general of Pakistan in New York. The consul general also praised the boy and said he is a source of immense pride for Pakistan and a testament to the talent and determination of the nation’s youth.
Pakistan has no dearth of talent in sports and giants such as Jahangir Khan and Jansher Khan have already made unbreakable records in the world of squash.
The consul general said that there was a need for supporting young athletes to revive Pakistan’s dominance in squash in the world.
Mr Atozai said Pakistan’s consulate in New York would continue encouraging Raja in his journey toward even greater success in the field of squash.
