Pakistan has a proud legacy in squash. With legends like Jahangir Khan and Jansher Khan, the country once dominated the world stage. But over time, the sport in Pakistan saw a decline. In this challenging era, one man has been working quietly yet passionately to revive the nation’s lost glory — Zahid Gul.

Early Journey and Coaching Path

Born in Quetta, Balochistan, Zahid Gul dedicated his life to squash. He realized early on that Pakistan had no shortage of talent; what the young players lacked was proper guidance and professional coaching. This realization became his mission.

International Contributions

Zahid Gul’s expertise is not confined to Pakistan alone. He also served as the National Squash Coach of Sri Lanka, where he contributed to the growth and development of the sport, earning respect on an international level.

Achievements and Star Players

Hamza Khan – Became the World Junior Champion in 2023, ending Pakistan’s long wait for global success. Zahid Gul’s motivation and belief in Hamza played a decisive role in this historic victory.

Noor Zaman – Crowned U23 World Champion in 2025, once again bringing pride to Pakistan under Zahid Gul’s mentorship.

Upcoming talents – Players like Noman Khan, Fawad Ali Jan, and Muhammad Khan (son of Shahid Zaman Khan) are also flourishing under his guidance, shaping up as Pakistan’s future stars.
