Zimbabwe Women’s Cricket Team to Tour Pakistan
KARACHI: Zimbabwe’s women’s cricket team is set to arrive in Pakistan on April 29 for its first-ever bilateral tour of the country, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed.
The tour will feature six white-ball matches, all scheduled to be played at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. The series includes three One Day Internationals (ODIs), which are part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025–29 cycle.
The ODI matches will be played on May 3, 6, and 9, with all games starting at 3:30 PM local time. This will be followed by a three-match T20 International series scheduled for May 12, 14, and 15, with evening matches beginning at 7:30 PM.
Officials said the T20 series will serve as important preparation for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5.
Ahead of the global tournament, the Pakistan women’s team is also expected to participate in a tri-nation series in Ireland.
Cricket officials have described the Zimbabwe tour as a positive step for women’s cricket development in Pakistan and an opportunity to strengthen international sporting ties.
