Court allows extradition of Indian man from Europe to US

Suspect is accused in US of plotting to kill a Khalistan Movement leader in connivance with an official of Indian govt.

PRAGUE: A court in the capital of Czech republic has ruled that the government can extradite an Indian man to the United States for trial in a botched plot to kill a Khalistan Movement leader who is a resident of New York city.

The Indian national identified as Nikhil Gupta, 53, has been accused in the US of plotting to kill the Khalistan Movement leader in connivance with an official of the Indian government last year.

The US foiled the attempt by India to assassinate the Sikh separatist leader living in the US last year.

Media reports had identified the Sikh leader as Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, who is associated with the Sikh for Justice, working for the separate homeland for Sikh in India called Khalistan.

The Indian government had already declared Pannun as a wanted terrorist. The reports said that the US government shared its warning with its closed allies to help trace all those involved in the plot.

Earlier, in June last year, another Khalistan Movement leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar was killed by unknown people in Canada.

Later, Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau directly blamed the Indian agencies for the murder, leading to a diplomatic spat between the two countries.

For decades, New Delhi has been killing and disappearing people in the occupied Kashmir without any check.

However, the US and Canadian governments have exposed its ugly face, but the Modi regime is still continuing its terror tactics to silence people’s voices.
