PESHAWAR: The 57th convocation of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) was held at Serena Hotel Peshawar in which 270 doctors received their FCPS and MCPS degrees.
The ceremony was attended by CPSP President Professor Mohammad Shoaib Shafi and Senior Vice President Professor Khalid Masood Gondal.
Renowned international counselors and faculty members on the occasion shared their expertise and guidance with the doctors.
Dr Abdul Janan Orakzai, Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan Doctors Association, assured the college of full support and cooperation for its development and growth on behalf of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa medical community.
Expressing satisfaction with the college’s current administration and performance, Dr. Janan reaffirmed the medical community’s commitment to non-interference in the institution’s affairs.
He appealed to the medical community to provide free services to underprivileged patients in government and private hospitals, especially in war-torn and backward tribal districts.
Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal said it was our collective responsibility to dedicate our abilities to serving humanity, and through these efforts, we can achieve true success and Allah’s satisfaction, which encompasses success in both.
Dr Khalid Masood said this noble profession is a prophetic mission, a sacred trust entrusted to serve humanity. Drawing upon Islamic principles, he reminded doctors of the Quranic command of serving the needy and urged them to provide free healthcare to impoverished patients from war-affected, merged tribal regions, not only in government hospitals but also in private institutions.
