NEW YORK: Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh met with the CEO of Tsuzuki Spinning Company and the Founder & CEO of Sol de Janeiro to explore collaboration in textile recycling and the circular economy.
The ambassador was accompanied by Consul General Aamer Ahmed Atozai and Trade & Investment Counsellor Adnan Mahmood Awan.
The discussion focused on emerging U.S. regulations promoting sustainable textile production and recycling. Tsuzuki Spinning highlighted Pakistan’s strong potential as a regional textile recycling hub and announced plans for a feasibility visit.
Ambassador Sheikh reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting sustainable investment and assured full facilitation. Both sides agreed to continue engagement to advance cooperation in recycling technologies and sustainable textile development.
