ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has postponed the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 from August 16 to September 20 following the directive of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to a PMDC statement, the decision was taken to ensure the examination is conducted in a more organised, secure, transparent and candidate-friendly manner.
The council said only the examination date has been changed, while all other terms, conditions and examination arrangements will remain unchanged. It added that any further changes, if required, would be communicated through an official notification.
PMDC advised candidates, parents, educational institutions and other stakeholders to stay updated through the council’s official website and authorised communication channels for the latest information and instructions.
The council also expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the change in schedule and appreciated the cooperation of all stakeholders.
