ISLAMABAD: Senior career diplomat Amna Baloch has been named as the new Foreign Secretary of Pakistan.
Ms Baloch will take over charge on September 11 upon the retirement of Syrus Sajjad Qazi. A notification about the appointment of Ambassador Baloch as the Foreign Secretary was issued by the government today.
It may be mentioned here that Ms Baloch is currently serving as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium and European Union.
