NEW YORK: The Consul General of Pakistan in New York Aamer Ahmed Atozai attended a meet-and-greet dinner in New Jersey held in honour of Dr. Amjad Saqib, founder and CEO of the Akhuwat Foundation.
The event brought together members of the Pakistani community and professionals to acknowledge the Foundation’s outstanding contributions to poverty alleviation.
Addressing the gathering, the Consul General praised Akhuwat’s pioneering interest-free microfinance model, highlighting its role in empowering millions of underserved families with dignity and financial inclusion.
He also noted that the Foundation’s work in education, healthcare, and social welfare continues to create meaningful change at the grassroots level.
He commended Dr. Saqib’s vision rooted in compassion and solidarity, describing Akhuwat as a symbol of hope and a successful example of community-driven, sustainable development.
