Dhaka Test Day Three: Pakistan All Out for 386

DHAKA: On the third day of the Dhaka Test, Pakistan was dismissed for 386 in their first innings. By the end of the day, Bangladesh had scored seven runs without losing a wicket, giving the hosts a 34-run first-innings lead.

Pakistan resumed their incomplete innings on the third day at 179 for one. Azan Owais played a brilliant innings, scoring 103 runs and marking a century on his Test debut. Abdullah Fazal contributed 60 runs, Mohammad Rizwan scored 59, and Salman Ali Agha added 58 runs. Imam-ul-Haq scored 45 runs, while Shaheen Shah Afridi made 13 runs.

From the Bangladesh side, Mehidy Hasan Miraz bowled exceptionally well, taking five wickets, while Taskin Ahmed and Taijul Islam claimed two wickets each.

Pakistan’s innings began with Azan Owais and Abdullah Fazal on 84 and 37 runs respectively. Azan Owais quickly completed his century but was dismissed for 103. Pakistan lost their third wicket at 226 when captain Shan Masood was out for just nine runs. Saud Shakeel was dismissed for a duck in the very next over, and Abdullah Fazal was out for 60, taking the team total to 230.

Later, Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha built an important partnership for the sixth wicket, taking the score to 349. Both batsmen scored half-centuries, but Rizwan was caught out for 59, leaving Pakistan all out at 386.
