LAHORE: The return of Pakistani and Indian citizens through the Wagah border continues amid heightened tensions triggered by baseless allegations surrounding the recent Pahalgam incident.
A Pakistani diplomat and seven members of his staff have returned to Pakistan from India via the Wagah border. According to border sources, diplomat Sohail Qamar and four staff members arrived in Lahore through Wagah border.
Earlier on Monday, three other officials from the Pakistani High Commission in India, along with 26 family members, also crossed into Pakistan via the same route.
This development comes in the wake of strained diplomatic relations between the two neighboring countries and appears to be part of a phased return of diplomatic personnel in response to the ongoing situation.
