JEDDAH: Five Pakistani Umrah pilgrims, including three women, from Punjab, lost their lives in a Saudi bus accident between Makkah and Madina.
The road accident occurred when a bus carrying Umrah pilgrims collided with a trailer near Al-Badr while traveling to Madinah.
Five Pakistani pilgrims, including three women, lost their lives in the accident. The deceased were from the Bahawalnagar district of Punjab. Two of the women were from village 228/9-R, one from village 201 Murad. One elderly man was from village 39/3-R and another from Dahranwala city.
Several other passengers, including women, children and elderly people, were injured in the accident. They were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
