SKARDU: Disgruntled Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has stated that Gilgit-Baltistan holds the strong potential to be transformed into a “second Switzerland” if the region is given consistent focus, investment, and proper development planning.
Addressing a public gathering in Skardu, he said that the PML-N government launched several development projects across Gilgit-Baltistan during its previous tenures.
He further said that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan played a crucial and historic role in the region’s freedom struggle and its eventual accession to Pakistan, adding that the nation owes a deep sense of gratitude to them for their sacrifices and contributions.
