SRINAGAR: Indian occupying forces continued crackdown and door to door search on Eidul Fitr and did not allow the people to offer prayers.
Main mosques including the central mosque and Eidgah of Srinagar were sealed by the occupying forces due to which the locals spent the Eid without offering prayers.
Moreover, the occupying forces picked scores of people during the search operations and shifted them to unknown places. APHC leaders including Mir Waiz Umar Farooq remained under house arrest.
In their statements, the leaders of the APHC condemned Indian regime for spreading a wave of terror in the disputed territory. They said closing of the places of worship on Eid was blatant violation of their basic human right.
