KARACHI: Roma Riaz, who was crowned Miss Universe Pakistan 2025, is set to participate in the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival this year, marking another international appearance for the Pakistani beauty queen.
Roma Riaz belongs to Pakistan’s Christian community and comes from a Punjabi Pakistani family background.
Speaking to Geo Digital, Riaz confirmed that she will walk the red carpet at Cannes and will also host the Expedition Gala. She expressed pride in representing Pakistan on the global stage, saying it is an honor to showcase the country at one of the world’s most celebrated film festivals.
Previously, Pakistan’s first Miss Universe contestant Erica Robin represented the country at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024, where she attended the red carpet event and participated in the premiere of Coralie Fargeat’s film The Substance.
