ISLAMABAD: Pakistanis sponsoring visa applications for foreign nationals can now complete biometric verification from home using the Pak ID mobile application,
This initiative follows a new service introduced by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
Under the new facility, sponsors can verify their identity through the app after a visa application is submitted via Pakistan’s online visa system, eliminating the need to visit a NADRA office or pay additional verification fees.
According to NADRA, sponsors will receive an email containing the visa application details. They can then log into the Pak ID mobile app and complete the biometric verification process.
First-time users will be required to create an account by registering their email address and completing fingerprint and facial verification. Once the account is activated, users can access NADRA services and complete biometric verification for themselves or an eligible close blood relative.
After successful verification, users will receive a confirmation message, and the visa application’s status will be updated automatically, allowing further processing to begin.
Officials said the initiative aims to make the visa sponsorship process more secure, faster and convenient by enabling citizens to complete biometric verification directly from their mobile phones.
