Over 167,000 appear in medical colleges entry test
Centers set up in 30 cities across Pakistan and in Riyadh and Dubai, says PMDC.
ISLAMABAD: Over 167,000 students take the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) across the country on Sept 22, 2024.
According to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), centers were set up in 30 cities across Pakistan. Two centers were also establishment in Riyadh and Dubai.
In each province, the test is conducted by a public sector medical university.
The PMDC said that in Punjab as many as 58,380 students appeared in the entry test fir admission to medical and dental collapse while in Sindh the number of students was 38,678. Moreover, 42,329 students appeared in MDCAT 2024 in Khyber Pakthunkhwa
In Balochistan, 5,806 students attempted the test and in the Islamabad capital territory the number of candidates was 18,408, in Azad Kashmir 3,145, Gilgit-Baltistan 739, and 259 students took the test abroad.
