NEW YORK: Overseas Pakistanis have been playing a key role in the development of their country as Pakistan is their identity and root, said Ambassador Masood Khan.
He was speaking to Pakistani investors and business persons in New York. Ambassador Masood Khan said that it was pleasant to note that the number of Pakistani business persons and experts in every field in the US was increasingÂ
He said Pakistan is one of the largest countries of west Asia and 64pc of its population consisted of youth aged before 30 years. The country is also rich in natural resources and there was only the need to exploit the natural as well as human resources to put the country on road to development and prosperity.
The ambassador called upon the international investors to take advantage of the business and investment opportunities in Pakistan. He invited them to invest in IT, agriculture, mineral, healthcare and other sectors of the country yo drive dividends.
He referred to 80 American companies that have been working in Pakistan for years showing the business potential of the country.
The ambassador also said that Pakistan was in touch with the international community in order to get the longstanding issue of Kashmir resolved. This is necessary not only to ensure peace in the region, but also in the world, he added.
