Pakistan Clears $3.45bn UAE Deposits After Saudi Financial Support

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan has repaid a deposit of $1 billion to the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development on April 23, 2026, completing the full repayment of $3.45 billion to the United Arab Emirates.

According to officials, deposits worth $2.45 billion had already been repaid earlier in the week. The repayments were made after Saudi Arabia provided $3 billion in financial support, facilitating the settlement.

The development marks the conclusion of Pakistan’s repayment obligations under these deposits to the UAE.
