ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday expressed concerns about reported poor health condition of Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik who is incarcerated in an Indian jail on a fake case.
Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch in her weekly press briefing stated that Islamabad was also concerned about reports that the Kashmiri leader has started a hunger strike in the Indian jail against denial of medical treatment to him and other excesses.
The spokesperson said that Pakistan has also asked India to release the Kashmiri leader without any further delay.
In reply to a question, she said that the president abd prime minister have sent congratulatory messages to Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election. She said that Pakistan and US have decades old ties based on non-interference in each other’s affairs.
The spokesperson also said that Pakistan has demanded immediately ceasefire in the Gaza war in which Israel has killed over 43,000 people including women and children.
