ISLAMABAD: Pakistan exported mangoes worth around 40 million dollars to different countries this year and its customers also included Afghanistan; the National Assembly was told in a report by the government.
According to the report, Pakistan exported 13,681 metric tonnes of mangoes to 42 countries and earned 46.7 million dollars this year. It said the countries that enjoyed the delicious mangoes from Pakistan included United Kingdom, Germany, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Qatar.
Mangoes worth 10.32 million dollars were exported to the UK alone. Moreover, UAE purchased mangoes worth $9.2 million, Afghanistan $2.2 million, Germany $1.9 million, Oman 1.7 million dollars, Saudi Arabia $1.3 million and other countries $4.4 million dollars worth of mangoes.
