ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has expressed concern over the recent escalation of tensions in the Middle East, stating that the latest developments are contributing to further instability in the region.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, all parties should take practical steps to immediately reduce tensions and honor their commitments under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
Pakistan reaffirmed its strong support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of brotherly countries and urged all sides to exercise restraint.
The spokesperson emphasized that Pakistan believes in resolving regional issues through dialogue and diplomacy. Pakistan also reiterated its commitment to continue providing all possible support for achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
The Foreign Office stressed that continued confrontation could have serious consequences for regional peace, security, and economic stability. It called on the international community to play a constructive role in encouraging peaceful engagement and preventing further escalation.
Pakistan said it remains closely monitoring the situation and will continue consultations with regional and international partners to promote stability. Islamabad maintained that peaceful dialogue remains the most effective path toward resolving differences and ensuring long-term security in the region.
