LAHORE: A research scholar from Pakistan was murdered by robbers after he resisted their bid to snatch his valuables.
According to the family of the deceased, Mr Anthony of Lahore had gone to Portugal to conduct research on cancer and was enrolled in a university in Lisbon.
He was robbed of cash, mobile phone and his laptop. Anthony tried to overpower the bandits on which he was shot dead.
The family members of the deceased said that the dead body of their loved one was yet to be dispatched home.
They appealed to the government especially the Foreign Office to help in bringing back the body.
