PMDC Announces MDCAT 2026 Schedule, Test on August 16
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced the schedule for the MDCAT 2026 examination for admissions to MBBS and BDS programmes, officials said on Friday.
According to the council, the test will be conducted nationwide on Sunday, August 16, at 10:00am simultaneously across the country.
The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore has been assigned responsibility for conducting the test in Punjab, while Sukkur IBA will oversee arrangements in Sindh and Khyber Medical University in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In Balochistan, the test will be administered by Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences Quetta, while Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University Islamabad will conduct the exam for candidates from Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the Saudi city of Riyadh.
PMDC said online registration will begin on June 22, 2026. The deadline for registration with a normal fee is July 8, while late registration will be allowed until July 13.
The registration fee for test centres within Pakistan has been set at Rs9,000, with a late fee of Rs13,000. For international centres, the fee is Rs45,000, while late registration will cost Rs55,000.
The council added that all fees will be non-refundable and non-transferable, advising candidates to complete their registration within the stipulated time and regularly check the relevant university websites for updates.
