Police told to arrest and produce Gandapur in court

Judicial magistrate in Islamabad issues order after the KP chief minister failed to appear in an arms and liqour recovery case.

ISLAMABAD: A court in Islamabad on Saturday issued warrants for the arrest of KP Chief Minister and PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur.

Judicial magistrate Mubashar Hassan issued the order after the KP chief minister failed to appear in an arms and liquor recovery case despite repeated directions. When the court took up the case, a bailiff report was presented in which it was stated that the earlier warrants could not be implemented.

Despite court orders, the chief minister of KP did not appear in the court once again. The court maintained the arrest warrants issued earlier and directed the police to arrest Mr Gandapur and produce him in the court on October 23.

It may be noted here that the case related to the recovery of illegal weapons and liquor has been registered against the PTI leader and chief minister of KP in the police station of Bhara Kahu in Islamabad.
